Running today I realised that after a while I start shuffling my feet as I run. In am not lifting them very high. As a result I end up falling if the ground suddenly raises a bit.Does anyone else noticed this.
I have to learn to pick my feet up. π€π

I do think my depth perception/ balance has gone a bit wonky with age. A couple of years ago, I was walking up to a low wall in a nearby village ( less than 1 ft high) saw it clearly, thought nothing of it, thought i was stepping over it fine, only to find myself face down in the grass, embarrassingly! Completely amazed πππ
Try pumping your arms back and forth, with your arms bent at the elbow (your arm are your accelerators). Imagine you are driving a nail into the wall with your elbow).Arms and legs are joined together - as your arm swings forward and up, your opposite leg/knee will automatically come up.
It takes a bit of practice - concentrate on arm movement, and the legs will follow. And keep your head up looking forward.
I do the same thing, and it's increased since I got some new running shoes with thicker soles. Could your shoes be part of the problem? Be careful -- I went flying a while back and did myself some damage.
