A non-perfect Wk 9 Run3...

Yesterday, I woke-up expecting a text for my expected grocery delivery. Depending on the time, I might be able to complete my last run of the programme. No text...checked email and the delivery time was going to make it impossible to run.

About 15 minutes before the stated delivery time, I had a call telling me that the system had been down, which is why I didn't receive a text. Delivery would be in about 1.5 hours. I confirmed with the driver that I could go out for an hour or so. "Yes, no problem".

Ran upstairs, changed into my running gear, out the door. Stretching whilst listening to the tail-end of a podcast series. Steve Cram tells me I'm at the end of my last warm-up walk and to "Go". I set off with the podcaster telling me there is one more episode in the series which I must have missed. Trying to run and searching for the next episode is difficult.

I don't find the next one but settle into something else, realising that I haven't been checking my starting pace. I pull back and all is good.

Steve pops on to tell me that I am half-way through. There's the bell. AND there's the phone. It's the delivery guy! He's can be at mine in five minutes. No!!! I ask him if he could give me fifteen minutes. "Yes".

I finish my run and am stretching outside when the delivery pulls up. Thank him for giving me the time and hope he hasn't been to delayed. He tells me its no problem!

I've graduated. Can't believe I'm actually at this point; that 2 months ago, I was thinking three minutes was not possible...

A hearty thanks for the app. My present is a Garmin Forerunner and I'm looking to consolidate for a few weeks and then stepping stone runs!!

Well done, isn't it a great feeling!? I think most of us started C25K with the belief that 3 minutes was impossible 😂

Brilliant, dr1212, and welcome to the graduates' club! I've recently been doing Steve Cram's Stepping Stone programme as a next step before I pluck up enough courage to enter my first ever park run. I've been finding it really encouraging, particularly the Speed one where you run fast intermittently for a minute. For the first time in my life, I feel like a real athlete! Well, I can dream, can't I?? 🤪 All the best from here on..............!
