Today was another landmark run - week 6, run 3! I was sitting in the front room with a cup of tea watching the rain coming down in torrents. Hubby got onto his weather app and started giving predictions on weather windows. Finally I achieved escape velocity as the sun came out with Hubby roaring at me to “get out now! There’s a small break between showers!!!”
I drove down to the cycle path in a smattering of rain but by the time I set off the sun was out again. There were dark clouds glowering in the distance but I yanked up the big girl pants and set off.
as usual the first 5 minutes were grim. Heavy legs and a bit of a puff. Gremlins cackling merrily…. But then things eased up and it started to flow. By the half way bell I was feeling great and it was still dry. With only 3 mins left there was a few drops of rain - ironically Van Morrison was belting out Sunny side of the street. 🤣🤣🤣 But miraculously, those spots didn’t come to anything and I got home dry! Now sitting in the front room again, mug of tea in hand basking in the warm glow of smuggery. It’s now lashing with hail. A charmed run, or what????

You are quite right to feel smug.. you’re on the home straight now with all the worst runs done and only three weeks to go. Great photo of the rain/hail in the distance.. We have glorious spring sunshine today so hopefully it will head north to you very soon for your last runs up to re-graduation.
Congratulations to you Fionamags on completing run 3 of week 6, once again you are now OFFICIALLY a RUNNER, nice photo of those rain and hail showers, like you I ran a short 3K this morning between the showers, when I got home there was a hail shower but now it's nice and sunny.
