So I have graduated from C25K and was very happy to try Stepping Stones with Steve but the first time the audio didn't work. Then I downloaded an audio update and the run went fine. However the app didn't log the fact that I had completed the run last Thursday. Very foolishly, I reset the app which naturally wants me to begin again at week 1 run 1. I completed week 9 run 3 but there is no celebration video and I can't open Stepping Stones 😢Can anyone restore Stepping Stones for me or suggest anything? Otherwise very sadly I think this might be the end of my C25K journey and I so do not want to lose you.

🍏 I think with the reset it’s gone!! Very frustrating!! I tried to run through 9:3 to access them but no joy! Here is an outline of the runs if you want to do without Steve in your ear & just using your watch & own music.. not the same I know.

Otherwise head over to Nike Run Club free App & pick out runs there that are similar. Loads to choose from.

1. Stepping stone has you running at 80% of your usual pace for 10 mins, then your regular conversational pace for 20 mins with a 5 min push at the end

2. Speed is an interval based run, beginning with 5 mins gentle running before you alternate 1 min fast, 1 min slow run for twelve minutes.

3. Stamina takes you out for a 40 minute run

All the runs start with a five minute brisk walk and a five minute cool down walk.

Someone else more technically minded may have a better answer than I do!

You definitely don’t need to do all the programme runs to “graduate”. You could try playing through more of the week 9 runs so you’ve got some more ticks in your app and then try week 9 run 3again? See if that brings back the stepping stones runs.

I’ve just listened to the commentary of a fair few runs, just skipping to the next section until the the end to get the tick, or you could just leave your phone playing the run. It’s a new update and might be a bit glitchy!

There’s no need for you to leave us, whatever happens with the app. There are loads of options for carrying on running without couch to 5k. It’s a tech nuisance but doesn’t need to end your run journey.

It may be the end of your C25k journey but hopefully not the end of your running, to start is admirable, to carry on is awesome

While I understand your frustration Cassandra61 , I can't see why that would be a reason to leave the C25K forum. All forum admins, ambassadors and members are volunteers, and nobody is involved in developing or maintaining the app (or the podcasts, come to that.)

Consequently direct intervention with the tech isn't possible; all people can do is offer support, advice and assistance based on their own experiences.

As others have said, there are lots of options for post-C25K running, whether you choose to use audio-coached runs or not. My personal choice is never to use audio coaching, and not to record all my runs.

I had problems with the app so I downloaded the audio files you will lose Steve but will have the lovely Laura instead but as someone said above just let the app play once you get back when not running and you get the tick anyway and you've done the run with the audio file. Don't give up C25k just because the apps not working. Plenty of running clubs run their own C25k which gives you the chance to meet other runners too 😁

you could always download the podcasts instead of using the app. When I first started running I used the app and it would freeze partway through a run and I’d get all flustered and not know where I was in the run and give up. It was very glitchy. Then my daughter suggested downloading the podcasts and I never looked back. Not once have they let me down, once they were downloaded onto my phone I just used them from there and I could go back and do favourites when I chose. I’ve really got used to the music on them too and although it probably wouldn’t have been my normal choice it’s now my “ running music” and certain tracks are favourites which give me an extra burts of energy

You can still pick Jo Whiley, or any of the others but personally I stick to Laura who got me through it the first time.

Couch to 5k is on there and the Strength and Flex ones too and there is even a Bridge to 10 k one which I also use.

Yes LimbaLou, I am with you, I am in Oz and have just started C5K again and I am up to Week 5 just done the 2nd run now, and I Love the lovely Laura, she just has such a lovely voice and gives me so much encouragement. I am not sure what the Stepping Stones is or where I would find it. This C5k is such a fantastic thing to get you started, I just love it, my daughter does it too and says it is good for clearing the mind.
