change of route needed

A forced change of route today as the road by the creek was flooded right up to the front gardens - this does happen occasionally when we have extremely high tides but it’s unusual to not have any road at all. So unfortunately I had to stick to the cycle track which had lots of fallen leaves and I was worried about slipping but we made it home in one piece.

I’m beginning to think that having the dog as running companion is my lucky charm - another beautiful morning in between some hefty showers! Back to work next week so I won’t be able to be so choosy about my timings - I feel very blessed this week in amongst all of the weather shenanigans going on.

I am very lucky to have lots of lovely routes that I can do from home. I do appreciate it especially with the beautiful sunny days I’ve managed to make use of this week! Unfortunately my favourite one is not doable at the moment as the path to the beach is blocked for the foreseeable due to building work and I absolutely refuse to run on shingle which is the diversion !!! 😡 I can still get to the beach another way but it’s very vexing that my favourite route (which was actually my graduation run!) is unavailable.
