Hi, I was trying to keep it quiet, but have just finished run 1 of week 4..of cto5k..and I'm buzzing....18 months ago I had to give up after a achillies injury after run 2 week 8....
I was diagnosed with tendeopathy after a scan and feared I was finished with running.
Anyhoo after 18 months of exercises and rest I'm out again.....
I'm taking extra rest days now and hope to qualify at the end of the year in time fir my 70 th birthday....
Wish me luck..π€

Congratulations on the progress! Don't keep it quiet- it's always good to read about people discovering the joy of running! Looking forward to reading more of your posts as you continue with the plan. It is really worth the effort. What a way to celebrate turning 70!
Hello and welcome back! Do check out the How to run C25K plan...just to refresh your memory !
Take it slow and steady, keep popping on and posting... loads of support here, still ready to run with you.
After any setbacks, it can be really tricky getting back into the flow, ( so many of us have had time off, and returned to Couch) , but just keeping up those exercises to keep the tendons supple and comfy will help
Those extra rest days too, are perfect for some core strength and stamina work... and there are oodles of ideas on the Strength and Flex forum...including one for incorporating exercise through regular household chores.. !
