I feel happier now that I have completed three Week One runs in a row (with a day between). I again found the third section hard, but then starting the fourth it seemed a bit easier. I am sure it was warmer today as by the time I reached the end of run 8 I was feeling rather uncomfortable even though I was in the shade.
I am undecided if Sunday should be another week one run, or to chance it and start Week Two as it is predicted to be hot day. The little shaded alley where I have been running is unlikely to be long enough to run for 90 seconds in a straight line (if I make it!!) and if I stop to turn, will I manage to get going again??? I have set my goal to complete the course by my 40th so have not got a lot of wiggle room.

Congratulations! Another great run to complete week 1. I used to have a little celebration at the end of every week. I’d recommend that!
There’s nothing you’ve said that screams to me “repeat last run”. What’s making you think you might want to? You’ve done everything that this week has asked of you so you’re ready for week 2. It sounds like a change of route might be sensible though. Have you got other options that could work?
The main thing now is to take some time to enjoy your first completed week though-that’s a great milestone!
It's really tricky in the heat, isn't it? My thinking is give week 2 a try. Each time I've looked at the next week, I've thought 'that's going to be really tough'. Sometimes the runs are but somehow I've completed them.
Perhaps if week 2 ends up a bit much you could have a rethink then? What have you got to lose? Good luck with whatever you decide. 😊
The program is designed such that if you do your 3 Week 1 runs, then you are ready for Week 2. Your body is ready for it, despite what your brain might be telling you.
You won't be taking any gamble or chancing it. Just go for it. You have nothing to lose.
