A month ago I was ready to start week 9, after all the hard work and slogging my guts out AND learning to love running circumstances made me stop , I wonât bore you with the details but March has been a write off for me
anyhow , here I am , I am determined to Finnish the programme and am starting back the gym on Sunday
What part of the programme am I best starting at ?
i donât know how far behind I will be .. do I go all guns blazing and try out week 9 or do I instantly go back a few weeks of the programme ?
I have an active job and have been doing the odd walks here and there so Iâm not starting from scratch but donât want to push my luck either âŚ.

Sorry about the month delay on your running Donna 2023, if you do have time to run try out a gentle jog and see how it goes, you don't have to go back to week 1 of C25K, neither go all out for the 30 minutes of week 9, good luck.
It happens to all of us! I agree with AlMorr . Head out for a gentle jog and see how it goes. My comeback run from any gap or illness is always a fifteen minute run with permission to cut short if needs be. That will usually give you a good idea of how youâre doing and youâll have more information to help you decide where to pick up from. You may find youâre pleasantly surprised and youâve retained more of your fitness than youâre expecting. Youâll be a bit more vulnerable to injury after a break so Iâd take care not to push it and try and pick up some strength and flex work on your rest days.
Before you know it, youâll be back where you want to be. Life has a habit of getting in the way sometimes. The most important thing is to be nice to yourself!
hi Donna2023 âŚgood to hear youâre restarting the programmeâŚif I were you, Iâd get out for a little jog, maybe go back to week 4 & see how it goes and take it from there?? Good luck đ¤
