I started the couch to 5k and I absolutely can’t believe that I’m on week 7 - when I started, I nearly died after running for 60 seconds and now here I am running for 25 minutes …. Can someone tell me what happens after completion ?
I’ve got used to the really motivational and encouraging messages that Jo Wiley gives me so is there a similar thing available to do after ? ☺️

Congratulations o your progress-absolutely fantastic! Not long to go now until the end of the beginning of your run journey. In April, our post graduation run club will be starting up again which might be good timing for you!
When you finish it’s normally recommended on here to stick at 30 minutes for a little while to let your body strengthen and reduce your risk of injury. Then where you go is up to you! There are lots of other apps available with guided runs. I really like the Nike Run Club one which is free and has a great selection.
It does and it doesn’t get mentally easier-I still have tough runs where I’ve got to battle the gremlins saying to stop or I can’t do it. What changes most is you’ve got more ammunition and strategies to fight them off! Every time you finish a difficult run, that’s one more you can add to the “I know I can do this” pile.
Physically? You’ll be most likely amazed at how what feels like a long run can change or what your “it’s only xxx minutes/kms to go and I know I can do that” increases. The other day I was doing a hard long run and near the end I caught myself thinking “it’s only 30 minutes to go and that’s a couch to 5k run-I can absolutely do that”. It’s a lovely place to get to!
Keep doing what you’re doing and you’ll be graduating before you know it. Good luck to you! 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
