just finished W5 R2 2x 8 min runs, can’t say it was easy but I managed it and slowed my breathing down fairly quickly during the 5 min walks.

Going to give W5 R3 a go on Friday, bit scared, 20 min run!! Just going to take it steady, wish me luck 🤗🤗

Great run for you, and you’re approaching run 3 in exactly the right way. Yes, it’s a mental step up and I remember being nervous too, but you can tell yourself that you’re absolutely ready for it. You’ve done all the runs and this is just the next one. Take it steady, slow down if you need to and be ready for a massive smile at the end!

Well done completing week 5 run 2 😊And you don't need luck for run 3 as you have already prepared for it by completing the previous weeks and runs.

Just keep doing what you are doing 😊

Don't fear run 3. Break it down mentally into smaller chunks (eg. four 5 minute sections, back-to-back) if it makes it easier.

You've just done a week of 16 minute runs (week 4) and your most recent session also had 16 minutes of running.

The only difference with run 3 is that you won't have a 5 minute walk in the middle. In fact, the total time is a minute shorter than run 2.

You're ready for this.

Distract yourself with music. Look around as you're running, taking in and noticing things in the area you're running in. Don't clock-watch.

Remember not to start off too fast otherwise you'll run out of steam at the end.
