What a journey!

So thought I'd share what's been going on the last few runs since my great W8R1 on the treadmill (first time on the tm). Got outside on Friday and started well but would you believe it I had to walk after about 18 minutes (so disappointed 😞) walked for about 5 then ran again for approx 10 minutes before the cool down walk. I really don't know what was going on but have been exploring the forum and take heart that there will be good and not so good runs. Was seriously considering going back to week 6 but this morning said to myself that I'd repeat W8R1 and see how I got on. Started a bit slower than usual and also changed my route. Seems that this worked and so happy to say that I smashed it 😀 Looking forward to Tuesday!

That’s just fantastic. You must be over the moon with today’s run. Dodgy runs just happen sometimes and I think they make the good ones feel extra sweet as I’m absolutely sure you found!

Three to go now. Top tip for week nine is to just relax and enjoy it. It’s what all the hard work you’ve already done has got you ready for. Just three more runs and a big celebration. Good luck for Tuesday! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Great job on your run. Second time lucky. We all have those ones where we just can’t nail it. I often say it’s my brain not my legs that have given out. Most important thing is getting back out there again and keeping moving forwards.

We’ll all be here celebrating with you when you get that badge. It’s just the start of your running journey but a huge milestone on the way.
