Hi all ,

Everything has been going so well , perhaps too well , I'm used to things going pear shaped quite regularly , just saying 😜 I completed week 6 on Tuesday, and was ready for an all out attack on week 7 come Thursday, but Wednesday morning I woke with what I can only describe as stomach pain and nausea , I attempted to eat but my body said NO NO and it wasn't having it , enough said without getting graphic 🤢🤮 . So I spent most of Wednesday and Thursday in and out of bed and drinking water , hoping pain would pass . Good news today it seems to have eased for good , but am apprehensive about running as think that was the catalyst of my pain , I am thinking digestion related or ate something dodgy , who knows ? Not me! Anyways I just rambling as bit down at being halted /floored, in my up till now, smooth progress ish ! Has anyone else suffered with stomach problems after running the 25 mins W6 R3 ? It is a bit of a step up and I am hoping its just another new sensation for my body to get used to experiencing . Think I will try to do W7 R1 tomorrow , maybe Sunday , see my mind already has doubts , Oh its a battle, one I will win fingers crossed ! Happy Running to you all and have healthy weekend 😇😉

I sometimes feel sick when running if I’m pushing myself, and can’t eat for an hour or so after running but I’ve never had stomach pain and sickness the morning after. It sounds unlikely that it’s related to the running. The only way to find out is to go out and run again. Perhaps choose a day when you can rest the following day. Take it slowly and don’t push yourself. Hope it goes well next time.

It sounds more likely to have been a tummy bug...so many nasty things flying around currently. The pain too...more like a gastric issue, but we are of course, not experts.

Running related, would normally happen quite quickly after the run..pushing too hard, eating too close to the run, just rge general impact of running, all manner of things . Nausea is not uncommon.

Make sure you are fully recovered eating normally, sleeping well, and of course, well hydrated before heading out again...slow and steady...and hopefully you'll be fine.
