Just completed my first run of week three. I’m doing pretty well so far, especially when you consider that I’ve not done any running since I left school about 45 years ago. I’m even enjoying it (a bit) which has surprised me.

Well done! Even if you have a run that you don't enjoy the feeling of achievement afterwards makes it worthwhile. That adrenaline rush after W9 R3 is great. If you stick around you'll find that many of us are what I prefer to call experienced age wise, so you'll be in good company

I always found running at school to be too much high pressure - the way you look, the competition, the judging from teachers. I love that I have rediscovered running at a later age through C25K - to feel the achievement of running for myself and to discover that I actually can do it 😁. It's great to be part of such a friendly group of people too - makes me feel that anything is possible as I get older.

Hi  brandersnatch , welcome! Great to hear that things are going well for you.

If you haven't already, do have a read of the How to run C2K guide: healthunlocked.com/couchto5... It's packed with useful information, some of which might provide a welcome contrast to what you were told at school.

Enjoy C25K!
