never thought in a million years of manage to jog for 20 mins - infact I accidentally ran for 35 as the app paused πŸ™ˆ. I was absolutely dreading this run and am surprised at how easy I found it compared to the walking intervals. Have any of you ever skipped a week ?

Congratulations! πŸŽ‰ Skipping a week is a really bad idea-the programme builds up gradually so you’re at the smallest risk of giving yourself an overuse injury. I know it happened accidentally but extending runs isn’t recommended either.

Be massively proud of what you achieved today. Take some well earned rest days and enjoy week 6 run 1 next. It sometimes catches people out after the victorious end of week 5 run 3, often leading to going off a bit too fast. Take it super steady and you’ll nail it. Really good luck! πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

Well done!

BUT .... do NOT skip a week.

That way danger lies ...

Follow the program like you've been doing and you'll be fine.

As Han Solo once said ... "Don't get cocky" ;-)

I'd say rather than skipping a week, give yourself an extra rest day (or two) and then continue on with the programme.

Accidentally doing more is an achievement, but not a reason to skip a week Donna2023 . As others have said, extra rest and continuing with the programme at a nice comfortable pace is the way to go. Don't forget that C25K is only the first step in what will hopefully be many years of running for you! πŸ˜€

Well done Donna!! The programme is amazing and despite the early doubts that you had, is clearly working for you. It has also worked for thousands of others. So why try and change it??

Worth understanding that as a new runner, you at more at risk of over use injuries. Follow the programme- hopefully you will have years of running ahead πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

thankyou everyone for your advice , I got so overly excited earlier and I’m super impulsive πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚ I will stick with the program- cant believe how well the training works! I was literally struggling to breath the first two weeks and I never expected to be able to run for as long as I did today
