Week 9 - Run 1

Just completed week 9 - Run 1 - Finishing line in sight - I run on a running track and once the C25K is completed, was thinking of adding an extra circle round the track as i hopefully continue to improve - the reason being I am a very slim 64 year old with realistic expectations - would this be a wise move?

Hi   Madferit , regardless of age, weight or expectations, it's always advisable to spend a few weeks consolidating C25K. That means either 30 minutes' running or 5k, whichever you achieved, before you try adding on any more distance or going faster. So best to wait a little before adding on an extra circle. Over time you can most certainly go on to do much more, should you so wish.

Once you post on here to say you've completed the programme, the lovely admins on here will send you links to post-C25K running, as well as one for you to claim your graduate badge.

Enoy completing the programme!

Thankyou Cmoi - excellent advice - I will consolidate the distance and time achieved so far for a little while yet - by following the programme to the letter I cannot believe I am running 5k. I am a very gregarious, sociable person, however, I prefer to run alone because I don't want it to become competitive, Thankyou

Well done. Good luck with your final runs of Couch to 5K! And what an excellent observation: “I am a very gregarious, sociable person, however, I prefer to run alone because I don't want it to become competitive”.
