After Christmas, weather and cough I finally got back out for a little run. Dropped my son, daughter in law and grandson to the airport for their return home and I wore my running gear. On my way home to ease the sadness of saying goodbye to them and Mark one year anniversary of the loss of my mother I went by a lovely park where I walked my dog then put her back into the car and headed back along the paths to jog 4km. I sat and enjoyed a hot coffee from a van in the park before heading home feeling lighter and more positive.
A young woman walking with a Toddler said " well done, you're putting us to shame " as I slogged past. So while I felt I was struggling, she obviously felt a positive vibe as I went by which is a lovely feeling.

Grief comes to us in so many different ways….do we ever get over the loss of a beloved mother… Parting with loved ones at the airport too is so full of emotion …However we can regain our equilibrium by getting in a run like you did! Running gives back so much after the effort of getting out there… Big hugs Rungranny….☕️🏃♀️🤗
