I was apprehensive at the beginning of week 7 and I still felt the same today at week 8. ( 3 runs later) Can I just bang on about the benefits of living near a running track. The brisk 5 min warm up walk takes me past enthusiastic dogs, who either love or hate me for walking purposefully past them. Once on the track, I am free of all obstructions, uneven surfaces and left alone - able to focus on 'Week 8' of running. The thing I love about this programme is that it is all about 'You against yourself' - Happy new year everyone X

Fantastic! It’s great you’ve found somewhere to run that’s clearly working for you. You’re doing brilliantly by the sounds of it. Before you know it, you’ll be requesting your graduate badge! Take those last runs on the program steadily and enjoy every step.

I’ve done a couple of events and the great thing at start is the positivity and encouragement. We’re all there to run together. Yes, there is technically a race but we’re just trying to do the best we can. Running has a brilliant sense of community. It’s one of the unexpectedly lovely things I’ve found on starting.
