We’ll, I’ve finally completed week 2. I’m feeling quite confident at the moment, and I’m pleased with the progress that I’m making. However, I do realise it is early days on my journey, and that very soon, things are going to get tougher ! I shall stay positive though and battle through, looking forwards to week 3 which I will be starting on monday ! Looking forwards to being able to complete 5k and more hopefully. Fingers crossed 🤞!
End of week 2 report : We’ll, I’ve finally... - Couch to 5K
End of week 2 report
Well done on completing week 2Great progress 👍
I notice you mention running 5k , great , I'm sure that will come but don't forget it's not actually a requirement for graduation.
It's just about time spent running .
The conversational pace is what matters here 😊
Enjoy the journey!
Many thanks ! Not too concerned about speed, I will follow your advice and take things nice, slow and steady ! I’ll be so pleased at being able to run for a solid 30 minutes. A long way to go still !
Well done PompeyMike56 ! Best of luck with your run on Monday .
Fantastic! I used to have a mini treat at the end of every week as a mini celebration. You’re doing really well.
As Instructor57 says, most people don’t get to 5k during the programme, but if you want to cover the distance loads and loads of graduates build up slowly when they’re ready after graduation (not forgetting a bit of time to consolidate first). I’m sure you’re capable of getting there in time.
Keep it steady and keep going! We’re all rooting for you 🏃♀️ 🏃♀️ 🏃♀️
Thank you MissUnderstanding ! I will have a treat sometime today, maybe a beer or two, I’ve lost over 35 kilos all in all over the last six months or so. Still losing, got a fair way to go still, but getting there !
Not worried about speed just yet, I’ll get to 30 minutes first hopefully, and if I can achieve that, I will take things from there Have a great weekend !
Well done! I’ve just completed week 5 and am learning to trust the programme. I never thought at the start I’d get this far without having to repeat the runs. Keep at it. Go as slow as you need to. Stretch before and after and drink plenty every day. Fantastic weight loss too!
Well done PompeyMike56. I lost 2.5+stone (old money) 2 years ago and think it was one of the main reasons for successfully graduating, along with taking it easy. Keep it up 😁🍻
Well done on your progress PompeyMike56 .
Regarding things getting tougher, that isn't really the case. Yes, you end up running for longer, but each week of C25K prepares you for the next. The trick is to keep to a comfortable pace, and to tell yourself that you can do this. Because you can!
Just skimming through some posts on here and noticed you had lost 35kilos.
As I’m still a lbs sort of throw back person, I had to translate that. Having translated it to over 5 stone I then had to congratulate you.
That’s a fab result! The running will no doubt assist with your feeling of returning health and well being. Good on you.
