Tim's Run

I did C25K a few years ago and very much appreciated all the helpful advice from IannodaTruffe (Tim) at the time. I've been an occasional runner since then but have returned to it more regularly recently, again completing C25k but on road this time rather than running in the woods.

I've read (and re-read many times) Tim's post from several weeks ago where he talked about how much running meant to him and about the connection with nature which meant so much to him too.

I only found out about Tim's run the other day, and couldn't run on Sunday as I stick to Tim's advice about not running 2 days in a row until I've been running regularly for much longer. I went out yesterday and ran 5k (in Clitheroe, Lancashire) with Tim in mind, however it was dark so there are no photos. However last week, before I had seen anything about "Tim's run", I ran near Oldham and it was, for me, my personal memorial run for Tim.

I ran somewhere new but I didn't focus on keeping moving the whole time, instead I enjoyed my surroundings and connected with nature. I enjoyed seeing squirrels and various small birds and got very excited about seeing 3 jays (which of course I had to stop to watch.) I also stopped to take some photos (which I don't usually do on a run.) So although it's not my run the closest to the date of the official memorial run, it's my "Tim's run" acknowledging all his help and support that he gave freely to so many people and the difference he made to so many lives.

Having read your post, I can see exactly why you are dedicating your previous run to Tim - it's exactly the kind of run he was describing. He touched so many of us, didn't he 💜
