So Frustrating!

I feel so frustrated. I started C25K a couple of months ago. I was pleased with how it was going, but after completing W2 R1, I came down with horrible virus symptoms. I tested negative for Covid, but anyway, I was completely washed out for 4 weeks in total. Then I started again. Because it had been so long, I dropped back to W1. I found it easy though, so after 2 W1 runs, I went to W2 R1 and it was good. Then I came down with another virus. It’s a week since my run and I’m feeling pretty ok, so will go back to it this week. With other commitments, that will be Friday. I’m thinking I’ll just pick up at W2 R1, what do you all think? 🤔 Surely, I can stay well again for a while now and make some progress 🤷‍♀️

Sorry about those viruses you have had CatPriya, let's hope from now on they have gone, well done on running the week 2 runs, I think you should rerun week 2, you don't need to restart week 1, good luck for your running journey with C25K and let's hope you are free from any further viruses.

Welcome! You have had a horrid time!

Many folk have had similar issues and the last two years have really impacted us in so, so many ways! Many too, ( including me) have repeated parts or all of C25K.

I agree with Al... begin at Week 2, take it slow and take it steady. Listen very hard to your body and just be kind to yourself.

Remember too, that your body needs good healthy fuel to run, and that as the runs get longer, the illness you have had has impacted on your well being. Pop in some strength and stamina work on your some of your rest days.

You can do this... post your runs and when Catch Up Corner begins again on November 1st... do pop in to say hello!

The runs are patient and they wait for us.

PS

Read this if you get chance, it may reassure you :)
