Tips on Running with fibromyalgia?

I've recently started the Couch to 5K, as I've been building up my walking over the past few months and want to push myself. I'm currently on week 4, and my stamina has definitely been getting better, but my pain has been getting worse. I'm jogging slower with supports on my ankles and knees, particularly my knees and coccyx that's hurting. This happened last year (before I knew I had fibromyalgia), when I overdid it and ended up in intense pain that left me unable to even walk to the shops. I'm aware now I need to not try to push too hard in that sense, but it's really frustrating as I want to progress.

Are there any fibro runners out there that might have some tips for painful joints when running that I could be doing? Should I just take a week off and get back into it later or is there something I can do to help get me through it?

Well done on doing this.

Now, we are not medical experts here but if you have had the correct advice from your Dr and are good to go, there is a lot of information out there... which may be helpful?
