Hi, I’ve been running a couple of years on and off. Usually I do 5k, more recently 6k and one 7k. However I would love to do interval running on the treadmill, it’s more about speed rather than increasing the incline , not sure where to start though. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Huge thanks in advance.

The first question is why do you want to do intervals?
The most effective way to develop your aerobic base is at an easy conversational pace......not faster. That said, there are benefits from doing interval work.
I have no experience of treadmills, but this FAQ post about getting faster may give you some ideas. healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
Your first port of call should be the C25K+ podcasts - there are 3 of them: 'Speed' , 'Stamina' and 'Stepping Stones'.
The Speed one formed the basis of a lot of my interval training - it's basically a speeded up version C25K Week 1 ... 1 minute ON, 1 minute OFF ... repeated 8 times.
Hi Bridget12345. I moved on from 5k to 10k too fast. Injuries, physio, whining. My path to recovery was interval running. Enjoyed it so much, found a group and we’re training together. Link to our interval plan womensrunning.com/training/...
