Lovely fresh morning for a run

W2R3 done, had a little left in tank so ran back up road to home. Enjoyed today. Decided not to brave the woods today as it took me longer to get the dog clean on Sunday than the run took! Did a circuit of the village, even though we have lived here 3 years I am finding little nooks and crannies I hadn’t seen before, it’s amazing what you do to avoid the hills on the running bits!!

I discovered all sorts of places, cut throughs, footpaths and things by doing c25k the first time, and I've lived here for over 25 years!Well done on completing week 2👏

I had walks back when we had a yellow labrador where the clean up took longer than the walk too. He loved to wallow in mud, the smellier the better.

And walking the dog meant I learned the local area much better than when I was in a car or on the bus.

That’s great, I’m really slow but got to 10k last April then fell and broke my wrist and then we lost my stepson in September so haven’t run at all since August and before that it was very patchy, so I really am a beginner again!! It’s a great program though, stick to it and you will get there!

Just read your most recent posts and glad to see you back.. a few other returners at the moment and maybe that will encourage me to try again soon. (pre-Xmas Covid, then New Year booster still having an impact so I’m just working up to longer walks now.) I fully sympathise on the dog issue in the woods. I still take mine to the woods most days, even though her fur collects all the detritus.. it’s the lesser of two evils as in the woods I can let her off the lead and avoid her yanking my shoulder! Good luck with the programme and I will look forward to seeing more posts ☺️
