Week 6 run 1

This run was no joke. It was tough. I was so not looking forward to the walks because that was when it hurt the most. Also I guess I’m feeling this way because I took 3 days off instead of my 1-2 days.

But Im still happy I finished it and I realise the importance of staying consistent because I can’t imagine myself repeating all my older runs with walks in between.

And a big thanks to you guys on here because I was actually thinking of some of the encouraging words I’d read here and that kept me going even when I wanted to stop.

Couch25k is definitely the best thing I’ve done this year because it’s the first time I’m sticking to something this long and I hope to transfer this discipline to other areas of my life

Congratulations on completing your longest C25k workout to date..........the one that catches out more people than any other in the plan. l doubt very much that having three days off since your last run has been detrimental.

As stated in the guide to the plan, you lose no significant condition in the first two weeks of non running. After that loss of condition is gradual.

Everything going on in our lives can impact on our performance as a runner. Restedness, hydration and nutrition are at the top of my list of variables that need to be optimised to enable enjoyable running.

This FAQ post expands on the theme. healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
