This may be of some help.
This is probably for dry, still air. For damp, windy conditions (such as we get most of the time in the UK) I'd add 5°C to the temperatures in that chart.

Hands and ears are likely the worst bits as they don’t do anything when running other than hurt from the cold. It’s a good idea to cover them up beforehand.
The rest is down to personal choice and perception of cold and your tolerance to it. Experiment with layers and types of clothing, find what’s comfortable to you. Obviously, you will feel a lot warmer at the end than at the start. The problem is if you readily sweat from the running, if you then walk, you’ll soon feel pretty cold from having damp clothes. There’s no one solution for everyone, I think. Just experiment and find what suits you best.
It takes longer to warm up and it’s likely the muscles will tense the moment you get outside. It might be good to increase your warm up time, it won’t do any harm.
Cold air is relatively dry so be extra mindful of hydration before the run, and afterwards. It may be nicer to drink warmer drinks.
On good days, winter runs can be exhilarating, something to experience and enjoy. All part of the fun! 🙂
totally agree. I think its trial and error and you will soon discover which works for you. I do lots of layers when its cold and make sure they are breathable layers. Then I take off as I go along by tying round my waist. I always wear a hat and gloves as soon as it starts to get cold regardless.🏃♀️😀
I can"t find a way to reply to all the people that gave advice in the same message. am I missing something?so thanks for all the advices, I work out in the cold most days so i am used to wearing lots of clothing, and i think i have a tendency to wear too much for runs.
anyway, my last run was week8run2 and a complete fail, well i had cold wind in my face and I found it hard to breathe and to run.
I have found it hard to find time to run 3 times a week ever since we have changed the clocks end of october, because I will not run in the night, people here are driving like idiots and I am scared. so I think I will finish the program running only once or twice a week, and do hiit training the rest of the time.

I live really rural so I have the opposite problem,not many cars, although when one does come along they do treat the roads like a racetrack. I do run in the dark and am always looking ahead or behind because it is pitch black as we don’t have any street lightning. However I did buy a chest running light and wear a hat with a light built in so actually I can see really well when I’m out, just still cautious if I car is behind or in front because if they did stop I’m no where near any houses . You do have to be careful these days. It doesn’t matter how long it takes you to complete the programme as long as you still enjoy it,😀🏃♀️
I am actually in the same situation as you! countryside, and no street lights, cars are rare but they drive like stupid. also worried I meet someone when I am alone.
