Started week 9 with an early evening run. I got the podcast downloaded from google drive, thanks to the tips on here. It was nice to hear Laura's voice after a couple weeks of just setting my own interval timer. I wasn't so sure about getting progress reports every 5 minutes. I used to set my interval timer to notify me half way through the week 7/8 runs and then I'd turn around for the second half. It's sort of a catch 22 because on the way up to half it was kind of tortuous to hear the 5 minute notifications from Laura, it was like "it's only been 5 minutes!!" but on the second half it was nice to hear the countdown and especially the last minute notice so I could push to the end. Ah well, maybe just mixing it up is the best way to go. I did mix up my normal route a little bit. Where I usually start it's slightly downhill for the first half then I turn around and run back so it's slightly uphill. This time I started where I would normally turn around and ran uphill first and downhill second. It was nice to feel a bit euphoric at the end instead of huffing and puffing up the hill. Two more runs!
