Sjoe.... I found that quite tough. I definitely battled to stick to the pace, which is slightly slower than what I usually run, and I'm not very good at picking up the beat - I kinda need Laura saying 1,2,3,4 continuously.

I'm certainly not missing poor old Julie though - perhaps if she and her boyfriend embarked on the C25K plan they wouldn't have so many relationship issues - my husband keeps telling me that I'm a much nicer person when I exercise. 🀭

πŸ˜‚It's the Afrikaans way of spelling 'Phew' or 'Shoo'. Some words in Afrikaans are just so much more expressive. πŸ˜„

You did far better than I did MerryLynette , I loathed the two minutes of Stepping Stones I tried before scrapping the C25K+ podcasts forever. Not doing them didn't do me any harm, but some people love them and swear by (rather than at) them.

I think I wore myself out just concentrating on sticking to the paces and finding the beat in the music - that said I also had quite an exercise full day yesterday, I didn't run but I did do a brisk 30min walk as well as a Firm Butt session and a 400m swim - so maybe I just hadn't had enough tine to recover. I have a 'Fun' triathlon on the 20th so I'm having to push the boundaries a bit...need to include some cycling somehow too. πŸŠπŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸš΄πŸΌπŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈ

I'm curious to see how my next run goes. πŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈ

You sound like you're doing a lot. Don'tt forget that you need recovery time, not just to push the boundaries.

A fun triathlon? Oxymoron, as far as I'm concerned! I'm a lousy swimmer, not great on a bike, and when running I prefer having fun and challenging myself, rather than competing with others.

Good luck!

Thanks.Fortunately the distances are really short 380m Swim, 18km Bike & 4.2km run. My only aim this year, apart from finishing, is to run the whole 4.2km run which I've never been able to do. I don't really care about time - I'm usually in the last 50 placements - I just enjoy doing them. This will be the first one since Covid struck - it's been postponed twice so I kinda forgot about. πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈAnyway, I'll just plod along through and enjoy myself.
