I did this run yesterday and did a different route. First run was mainly level or downhill during runs. This one was not! Most of the 5 mins runs were slight uphill or level and I did find it harder. If I did not have Denise Lewis keeping me going I would have stopped. I went slower to keep going. Half of me is feeling good that I kept going, the other half is low as I was so much slower. How does everyone cope with hills, and I am only talking fairly gentle slopes but they seem so much harder than flat or downhill.

Hills will make you stronger.

If you run up hills, then you will be able to run up hills. If you don't run up hills they will always be more difficult than the level and of course, you are bound to be slower going uphill, so don't beat yourself up about it......... well done.

An easy conversational pace is the most effective to build your stamina and endurance........faster is not better.

Apparently hills are our friends I am still not entirely a convert to this way of thinking but allow myself to be slow and even walk each time going a bit further before the walk or hopefully a bit quicker. Hills will eventually be my friend ⛰
