yesterday I took my weight and was extremely disappointed by what I saw and so I discovered this programme :) I’m posting this to hold myself accountable and finish the nine weeks! I just finished my first run for week one with my best friend and I loved it so much!! hope y’all also are having fun with the runs, I’ve got sweat on my glasses now lol.

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started. This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.

Well done for taking your first steps towards a healthier lifestyle. I must be honest and let you know that you may not lose much weight just by running, but regardless of weight loss this is a FANTABULOUS programme and I fully recommend it - I graduated today and started 9 weeks ago for the very same reason. In the UK you can use the NHS healthy eating app - it's not available outside of the UK so, unfortunately, I haven't been able to use it - but I hope it helps you.

TRUST THE C25K PROGRAMME - sometimes the next activity might seem like quite a big jump, but you will be able to do it. This forum is also full of friendly people and helpful advice! GOOD LUCK! 🏃🏻‍♀️
