Almost there!

I am planning on finishing the program soon and my last run should be next week on Friday, November 5th, which I'm very excited about.

I haven't been keeping track of how far I've been running on these longer runs so I'm not sure how close I am to an actual 5K. But I signed up for a 5K on November 25th for fun so I was wondering if anyone had any advance for training those 3ish weeks I have in between. I don't care how long it takes me but I wanted to maybe be able to run the whole thing without stopping.

It's probably a good idea maybe on these last week 9 runs maybe use the strava app or similar to track your distance you're reaching, it'll give you an idea of where you're at in regards to that 5k goal

Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.

When you announce your graduation I will send you a link to a guide to post C25k running.

If you cannot wait, it is sitting in the FAQ Posts, which you will find in the Pinned Posts.

You may well find browsing through the FAQ Posts useful healthunlocked.com/couchto5... as they cover many topics.

At most runs many people will walk some of the distance, some use run,/walk as a strategy for much longer runs than 5k and it is far better to do that than bust a gut and injure yourself, with the potential of not then being able to run for days, weeks or even months.........there are plenty more 5k runs out there.

We recommend that new graduates consolidate for a while, until 5k or 30minutes (whichever you achieve during the plan) becomes totally comfortable before increasing distance or working on speed and there is a monthly Consolidation Club on this forum which you can always find in the Pinned posts.

Take your time and remember that only a small proportion of graduates from this forum who responded to a poll, managed 5k in 30 minutes by graduation healthunlocked.com/couchto5....

Graduation requirements are that you complete three thirty minute runs, regardless of distance.
