I was expecting over 20min run but to my surprise it was divided in 3 blocks. It went well. Enjoyed it!

Weather is changing and to be honest not sure what to wear ๐Ÿค”. Today I used regular long sleeve top and leggings - cold to start with ok-ish during run. Is there any special fabric I should be considering when buying clothes to run in cold weatherโ„๏ธ๐Ÿฅถ?

Any advise welcomed ๐Ÿ˜Š

You don't need any special fabrics for winter running, as long as your clothing wicks away moisture.

Layers are the way to go, along with protection of extremities.

In the coldest weather I wear compression base layer top and bottom, long sleeved top, running trousers, a buff, gloves, and occasionally a hat and thin windproof jacket. I have never run in temperatures much below zero Centigrade, but apart from times when I have forgotten to wear gloves I have never felt cold when running.

Well done on your run. Iโ€™m always worried about getting cold before and after a run, so Iโ€™m often seen with a fleece tied round my middle (or left in the car at Parkrun). I find that running clothes are great for running in, but awful for standing around in before or after a run. A windcheater jacket is a useful light layer on a windy day. I got one from Decathlon that is showerproof, and folds into a tiny pouch you can have around your wrist, so easy to carry as an in case.

Talking about the cold BaddieThePirate, I was looking at the results of the YakutskDokhsun Parkrun which is in northeast Siberia and using Google Translate from Russian to English there was a report of 2 parkruns there in December 2019, there were about 30 runners running in a temperature of -42C on one Saturday and the next Saturday they ran in a temperature of -48C, now that's what I call cold, the coldest temperature I have run in is -6C when I achieved a time of 30.56.

Amazing! Not for me though. I love Google Translate, it adds all the accents in French, so you know where to put them.
