W2 Pain on outside of foot

I’m only on W2R2 but I’ve got pain on the outside of my right foot. Left foot feels fine, so think it’s an issue rather than just a post-run ache.

I’m getting into the c25k and don’t wont to lose motivation but worried that if I carry on I could be doing more damage.

What a shame ...... I really have no idea what it is but maybe get it checked over before you run again .... I had many small niggles whilst starting off my C25K journey but they faded. I am sure one of the very helpful people on here will point you in the right direction. .... Hope you are back running very soon.

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

While minor aches and pains are inevitable, it is not wise to run in pain, but follow the PRICE principles linked to in the guide to the plan.

My first question to you would be, "Are you wearing well fitting and appropriate footwear?" While you may not wish to fork out for proper running shoes at this stage, having the correct footwear can save you from a whole host of issues, including injury.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.

Thanks, yes I think I need to look at trainers first. It only hurts afterwards, not whilst running, but will do a bit more reading up.
