Meh! Very slow & it was a slog. 10 Min in I decided to tackle a small hill up which I've walked in previous C25K sessions. I made it to the top at a crawl, barely. Crucially, I didn't stop or I would have quit running for good...again. At the top I spun around to let gravity take over. The tough reckoning came moments later when the 15-min halfway signal arrived whilst drained & panting. I decided to treat the remainder as a mere 15-minute run which I've done several times. The con worked & I trudged through the finish.

I share with many here an illogical self-doubt that I'm not really running, merely walking quite rapidly. Look, who am I kidding with 2.84Km in 30 minutes? I know full-well that I don't pant & forget my name, date of birth & address when I walk therefore I must be jogging, but when it will feel like those runners you see on TV is anyone's guess. W9R3 next!

Well done. Sounds like that was a difficult one, but you made it. Remember running is the opposite of drinking: you feel rough while you’re doing it but you feel great afterwards. Race you to the podium…!

Well done chap 👍

It takes guts, strength and determination to do what you have done.

Be proud.

WTG BigLebowski It might have been a slog, but YOU DID IT! I did my W9, R2 this morning and it was also a sweaty, achy, ugly slog but I did it. I covered even less ground than you! I run like a tortoise, but I did it.

Like you, I would love to be running like the Bionic Woman (or man in your case) but being 62, 3 stones overweight, and still nowhere fit enough to get near the 5k mark, I am under no illusion that I will continue to be the fat, old, bird in the early morning gym plodding away niko niko style, but finishing every session which, at the end of the day, is the most important thing.

I've got this - you've got this! "See" you on the graduate's podium on Friday, keep it warm for me when you climb up there tomorrow.... woop woop 💪🏃🏃‍♀️💪

Hidden Thank you 🙏 I'm just so grateful I've managed to [almost!] complete it! If you had told me 11 weeks ago I'd be running 30 minutes non stop I'd have been on the floor rolling around laughing!

Exactly the same here as well. When I look back to April I can recall the thought of running for 8 minutes simply terrifying. Now I am knocking out 40 minutes.

Go and grab your badge and enjoy your success.

Ah well done on your run! Your description made me chuckle, when indeed will we feel like those runners on the TV?! In the meantime, you should be very proud of yourself - you’ve nearly finished! Next run = graduation yay! 😊😊😊

Frenc , thank you. I find a bit of humour lightens the mood when my calf muscles are threatening complete failure 25 minutes in 😮 I suspect at my age and size I'm never going to feel like a Paula Radcliffe, but I am chuffed to have acheived what I have, so anything else will be a bonus 😀
