Well, I can’t believe I’ve actually run my 1st Parkrun!

Very nervous, but as you’ve all said, people are very welcoming.

I only walked approx 4 minutes

Any tips on how I can increase my pace?

Thanks

Congratulations on running your first parkrun, as far as increasing pace, don't worry about that, it should come naturally as you continue to run, you could try speed podcasts with Laura which are pace, speed and stamina.

Well done.

If you read the guide to post C25k running healthunlocked.com/couchto5... you will find links to articles about getting faster........the secret is to spend most of your time building your stamina, strength and endurance at an easy conversational pace for 80% of your running time and only work on pace in the remainder.

Why not pop into the Consolidation Club healthunlocked.com/couchto5... and we can talk some more.

Thankyou, I have done the consolidation runs & am now running using the NRC podcasts, I think I will just continue to run, & hopefully slowly my stamina will improve, thankyou

Congratulations on completing your first parkrun 😀 Work on going slow for now to build up your aerobic base and avoid injury. Good luck 👍

Well done I still haven’t signed up but will get round to it all this lockdown and working from home has made me very unsociable!
