Boot Out Covid!

Hi everyone - I'm new to the forums although not the Couch to 5K program. This is not a question, just a quick post about my experience which I hope may give a little inspiration for others. I started Couch to 5K in early 2020 and was progressing well - I've never been a natural runner, but with practice and dedication found that I fell into it, to the point I was missing it if I skipped a run. I successfully completed weeks 1-5 and started week 6, including (much to my surprise) getting through the psychological barrier of running for ten minutes. Then, unfortunately, Covid-19 hit me like a freight train in July of last year, and it took me months to get over it, during which time I really did not feel confident enough to undertake any physical exercise except walking. However, I'm pleased to report that this week I have started up again - I've run three times so far, and have really enjoyed it. It's boosted my confidence, made me feel physically better and given me a sense that I've booted the virus out of my system completely (I have had both vaccinations as well). So - if anyone else has been through the same experience - in my case, picking this program up again was just what I needed and I hope there are others that feel the same way!

That sounds understandable. I called one one one last year as I thought I had a virus but it turned out to be something completely different and could not run for 9 months doctor's orders. It takes time coming back but you'll get there.
