What are your favourite snacks to have before working out that aren’t high cals?
I’m trying to eat something an hour before running (because if not I’m running without eating that day) but I’m also aware that I don’t want to go over my allowance for the day.
I’m looking for simples snacks I can have at breakfast so I can run mid morning or have at lunch and then run at around 2pm.

I prefer to run fasted before breakfast on runs up to 10K. On runs longer than that, I’m have a banana at least an hour before running and take small pieces of flapjack and an electrolyte drink with me.
As long as you are eating a good broad based diet there is no need to add any extra snacks, as mentioned in the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
None. If I snacked before my runs I'd gain weight, not lose it. I prefer to run fasted, but it depends on time or day and duration of run.
I wouldn't normally bother taking water or snacks with me for anything under 10-15k, but for longer distances I've learned that it makes sense to have something to fuel with.
Similar. If it's 12km (or 75 minutes of running) or less, no snacks or water with me. If it's longer than that, I'll take a few sugary snacks (usually jelly babies) and some fluids.
At about the 90 minute mark you're getting close to exhausting the easy stores of energy and other mechanisms start to kick in, including fat burning and to a lesser extent protein burning. The latter could be dangerous if your diet is very low on protein.
A really long run will consume the equivalent calories of a main meal. A very rough guide is about 600 kCal per hour spent running. Some marathon runners "carb load" before a very long run to counter this.
I've gone off on one of my tangents again. This is all many months in the future for someone just starting C25K. As long as you're eating normally and drinking enough fluids, no run in C25K needs any extra snacks or fluids.
Nothing here. Pot of coffee early, do a bit of work then go after the school run is cleared. Pint of water when I get back, shower, Breakfast afterwards.
