I ran slower πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

Well I took onboard everything I was advised and focussed on my inner running Japanese man, plus now having Mr Strava telling me my speed and distance thanks to Ian5K I managed to slow down.

It was a murky grey start with a bit of a breeze and the occasional spit of rain but I began very very slowly, plus I had been gardening ferociously yesterday so everything was a bit achey. Really enjoyed the Man in my ear announcing every half a kilometre it really made a difference.

My reward was two gorgeous goldfinches sat on the fence as I finished the 5k. Cooled down with a set from James Dunne on YouTube and now sat with a coffee feeling pleased with myself.

Happy running everyone

Weyhey! Mission accomplished, well done πŸ˜€ That sounds quite handy being able to hear what speed you're doing. I have to check NRC app on the home screen to tell me the speed. Very thoughtful of the goldfinches to cheer you at the end! See if you'd went your usual speed you could've missed them πŸ˜‰

Yes lesson learnt! Strava man very good telling me times distance and splits and completely free so will use it each time. Still to use NRC app but I may do one of the shorter runs it recommends this week as I may be in the Office for a day 🀞🏻

Ah you're getting closer to being back in the office, that'll be such a change for you! I'm enjoying mixing up the runs now with distance and speeds. Are you going to do your normal speedy run as a short run? I might try the Strava app too. I seem to be collecting these running apps at the moment, it's a good job they're all free πŸ˜€

Yes I thought a short fast run might be good πŸ₯΄ just need to mix it up and trying to work them into my return to work which is very inconvenient πŸ˜‚ tmbtrain
