Jumping to week 9

I have just started week 7 run 1 and decided to continue to 30 mins (I still can’t believe it in complete shock because 1 min was such a chore at start.

I was wondering can I just jump to wk9? I feel I can but I have followed the program and trust it completely. So wanted some advice from you wiser ones as don’t want to rush it if I shouldn’t be.

Many thanks

Katie

in a word , No

You have said you 'Trust the program'

So stick to it .

The program is designed as a steady progresion to 'Safely' get you to Graduation with minimum risk of injury .

You need the running time provided by ALL the weeks to do this safely

Stick to the run times also !Running 30 minutes in week 7 is definitely not recommended

The programme at this point is following the 10% increase per week rule, which helps you avoid injuries. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. 😉

Thanks 😊

Why is there a need to rush to W9? It is better to follow the program as it builds your muscles and stamina up, and you don’t want an injury by over training. After W9 you will still have to consolidate all you have done to build muscle and stamina.

It’s great that your running is going so well - this run will help you mentally through the last couple of weeks (yep, tick’em all off one at a time - you’ve come this far!)😀🏃‍♀️💪- easing in to those regular 30 minute runs and helping your body adjust to the increased demands you are now making of it!🙂

Enjoy and good luck! 🙂
