It was a chilly start with an overcast cloudy sky threatening rain. For the first time in nine weeks I started off sluggish and stiff, even after a five minute fast walk. The first part of my run, for a few minutes, is on an incline so that didn’t help. I was halfway through my run when I finally perked up.

It was like an obstacle course this morning with overhanging branches over the pavement and BT workmen blocking off the pavement to stop people walking into open manhole covers they were working in, the busy traffic as I crossed the main road and slip roads, and one lady with a ‘happy yappy’ dog!

I increased the run distance to cover the extra 2 minutes from W8 and ended the run feeling like a worn out pit pony! Though deeply satisfied that I did it. Next run Wednesday.

I’ll consolidate what I’ve covered in the last nine weeks and slowly up the distance. One door closes and another door opens! Keeeeep 🏃‍♂️
