Well, here I am!. Just done Week 9 Run 3, and not only that, I still had some left in the tank so decided to carry on until I hit the 5k as well!. I must admit the last stretch I was watching the distance on Strava but I finally did 5.09km in 38:43 mins of running.
I would never have believed it 9 weeks ago when I started the 60 second runs. Huge thanks to the C25K app and MJ for all the encouragement- it was always good to hear you with time updates and wise words about keeping the pace right.
The only break in the routine was a couple of extra rest days after some calf pain, and that worked really well thanks to the good advice on this forum.
Planning some consolidation runs now, and I might even buy some proper running shoes!
I only wish I had done this 10 years ago, but at 62 I feel very good for having taken up the challenge and getting the bug to get fitter.
Good luck to everyone else on the route to 5k!
