I’m new to C25K just on week 3, I’m doing it at the gym and really enjoying it, it’s tough as I’m not a great runner and doing it as a challenge to myself due to covid been very much a couch potato, I don’t feel confident enough yet to go outside to run, but the new challenge is doing a park run at tyy hi r beginning of June, reading everyone’s comments has made me realise I’m not alone and you all inspire me to carry on.

New to running
I would say the majority of folk don’t consider themselves runners! And just build up your confidence. I am a snail and was self conscious at first but after the first couple of runs you realise no ones paying roy the least bit of attention! Go at your pace, do what you’re comfortable with, but know you can absolutely do it! Well done for getting to week 3!
Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.
If it is tougher then you are pushing too hard........slow down. An easy conversational pace is the most effective to build your stamina and endurance........faster is not necessarily better.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.
Enjoy your journey.
