What the heck was that?

That was so much harder. Run for 90 seconds seconds walk for 2 mins.

My shins are starting to ache a bit, all with the 15st weight crashing down on top of them, and why on earth did I chose to go out during the school run? Everyone I know saw me all pink and sweaty and trying to do a casual head Bob of acknowledgment, like this is how I look now, breathing like a smoker who's discovered they've got no ciggys left! (Gave up smoking 9 years ago, replaced them with cake!)

Headphone issues too! So these Samsung ear Buds are Bluetooth and all fancy, but they fall out! Everytime I touch them to push them back in again, the music stops. So I took my old phone, that has an actual Headphone jack and not this new one. Anyone got any suggestions for headphones please?

See you for run 2 on Sunday. If I'm still alive. 🤣 oh and it annoys me that it was 1.99 miles .

Well done! You still went out there and did it!!!Headphone wise , I had ear pods that kept falling out or didn’t hold charge long enough so reverted back to iPhone headphones that came with phone- cable can get annoying but for the most part they have been ok. Just put phone in my pocket of running top with hi vis vest over the top to keep headphone cable at bay and stop it from moving.

I probably need to invest in better ear pods though!!

Keep going and good Luck!

I use earpods with correct size tips and with the rubber hooks that go over the ear. Work well and stay in place. The Ones I have are APEKX.

Re the shins aching, do you think you are heel-striking? Lots of advice on here about that including the FAQ post.

I am sure you are now the star of the school 😀 But probably more because they respect you for doing it.

Good luck with the programme.

I use Galaxy buds +, and am certain I would lose the left one!. I always wear a beanie or a headband, keeps them in place and also my hair off my face 😊

Yes this is what I have. Plus I have my diath pierced, which doesn't help.

I've just got used to the headband or hat now, I do know that I couldn't cope with wired headphones, they used to drive me crackers 🤯

Yay well done that’s amazing! I’ve just done my last week two run so we are at a similar stage! I use SoundGenie wireless headphones with the ear hook (think they’re about £35 on Amazon) - I’ve found them really reliable so far, have never fallen out!

My big son gave me Samsung buds for Christmas...they are great! The ones I have you kind of gently twist into your ears. Make sure you have them in the right ears...I always have to check what’s left and what’s right 😳 Wearing a cap or bobble hat helps but honestly they are great wee ear buds. I couldn’t run without them. No music, no running.

Hi SamathaBa - well done on getting to W2 - and I hope you manage to sort your audio problems out. I can't help much there but, as a recent Graduate I just wanted to reassure you that although each increase in running time is somewhat scary, if you stick at it and keep to the programme you will do it and be amazed (and proud) of yourself. I just wondered (looking at the screenshot stats) if you are maybe going a bit fast for your runs? 6.5mph is rather like a sprint (as in interval training) and C25K is more about building stamina and being able to run at a steady pace for (eventually) 30 minutes. When you hit Week 3 and start to increase your running times, I think 6.5mph (for anyone even a lot of us graduates) will be a certain burn out. My advice (if you want it of course) is to read the links on here about speed - and drop it right down for your next run - maybe 4.5 - 5mph (or even lower) so that you can run at a comfortable pace and speak a sentence on your out breaths. Although I graduated last Friday I am still running at this speed for my consolidation weeks (so that's about 4k in 30 minutes) but still enjoying it - and after 3 weeks (at 3 runs a week) I will start to see if I can increase the speed a little. Good luck and look forward to hearing how it goes.
