I’ve tried to couch to C25K First Week around one twice before and have failed miserably before even. Getting halfway through the session. I physically couldn’t make it any further.
I tried again today and was able to complete the first session! I’m amazed and so proud of myself. I took it much slower and did not run per se but did jog.
I feel great!
Any tips about keeping this up for someone who was below couch up until now??

Yes my advice would be don’t put yourself down you’ve kept trying and just to get up and out is an achievement. I’m only on week 6 myself. What works for me is going out first thing before you even think about it. Get up and go as early as you can while it’s quiet and I find this helps. Also I listen to music so I made a good playlist to motivate me. Good luck !!
Thanks very much! Went out early this morning whilst listening to music and it was nice as I didn’t feel so judged. A big worry of mine is bumping into someone I know so early is deffo the way forward
I was the same but I’ve come to realise no one really cares and other runners are just worried about their own run ! Keep going I was exactly the same at the start but I can’t believe I’m on week 6 now. That first 3 minute run is such a great feeling if you have never run before. I burst into tears! Now I’m just about doing 25. So you’ll do it. 👍
Hi Ian, I wanted to send a message of support and hope. I know you must be sick of people saying, don't give up, keep going, but, I can only say that, if you keep at it, it'll come. I have just finished W5 R3 (which is 20 mins). I remember in W3 thinking that I could never run for 3 mins straight. I just kept repeating over, and over any week or run that I couldn't do. Worse still, I get C-19 at Xmas and had to start from scratch in Jan just to build my strength and confidence back up. I a very lucky in working from home and have a supportive family. Keep going Ian it does get easier over time.
