Great to be alive

Just completed W6R3 and a more perfect day is hard to imagine. Up and running at 7am with clear blue skies and everything glistening with frost. I ran this one without the benefit of GPS, my wife needed her i phone, so little in the way of telemetry. After completing the warm up walk I set of at a slow jog and held that pace for about the first 8 mins, thereafter I increased it to an easy jog. When Laura announced the half way point I found myself singing along to the podcast and taking in the roadside daffodils and snowdrops so nice to be alive! When Laura declared 20 mins I felt great except for some pressure in the bladder, not a good idea to have topped up with half a pint of freezing tap water on such a cold day. Then 60secs left to run and Laura wants me to increase my pace and finish on a high which I gladly do. So onward to week 7 for me! Can anyone recommend a good sports watch GPS since I keep stealing my wife's phone.

Well done! Beautiful day today for a run. I am in a hunt for a running watch too. So far my eyes are on Garmin Forerunner 245 music. It is pricey, so have not made a final decision yet.

This post made me feel 😀! Well done on completing Week 6!👍As for a watch recommendation - you can’t go far wrong with a Garmin. I have the Garmin Forerunner 45 ( you can get this in two sizes - I actually have the 45S for a smaller wrist) and love it! It does everything I need in a watch and more!🙂

I completed week 6 today too ... struggled a bit at around 10 minutes (was a rather long incline at the time) but pushed through and feeling very pleased with myself 😊 - and enjoyed the downhill on the way back!
