This was a tough run! I tried yesterday, and only got 1km before feeling shaky - it was my diet day and I don’t think I’d eaten enough. Today I was worried that I might be losing motivation, but I went out and put on a good podcast and got it done. My aim now is to gently increase the pace each run until I can keep up with @dodgylungs 😂

Well done Lucas. Sometimes too long a gap in between the runs can make it seem difficult to get back which is why I try and run every other day, but sometimes it’s just not possible. Well done for getting back out there and realising even a 1K run is still a run. Before my last two runs I was feeling out of sorts and bailed at 3.5K. It’s happening less and less to me now but occasionally we might be better stopping and running the following day as you have done here. Running and dieting must be difficult. How radical is your diet?
Eat a banana 🍌 about 30 mins before you run, you shouldn’t get shaky then.
Diet day 🤷♂️ you shouldn’t need those if you’re regularly exercising, just don’t overindulge. Listen to your body, eat when you feel hungry and stop when you don’t.
NRC do a guided Fartlek run which I’ve heard is good and also fun, maybe give that a go to increase pace 👍🏃♂️
I do 5-2 - I have been doing it for years, so perhaps for that reason, but it doesn’t seem to hold me back if it’s a fasting day. I would tend to run in the evening though, so the time of day might help depending what you have eaten.1k is definitely still a run!
Well done for getting out! My mojo's a bit iffy at the moment. What spurs me on is Coach Bennett on the NRC app especially his Don't Wanna Run run and Need This Run, so motivational! And if you want a larf check out First Fartlek Run 😃
