I had to take an unexpected break due to snow and ice... so after 1 week of not running I hit the road again (still snowy and icy in parts) and completed W6R3 - I can’t believe that I ran for 25mins and can still walk upstairs!
I last tried C25K 5 years ago and failed - I hurt my legs so badly that I could barely walk and stairs were a nightmare...
This time, determined to do it before I turn 50, I gave followed the advice on here rigorously- SLOWED down - always stretched before and after, always completed the warm up and cool down walks etc ... and so far, no injuries.
So, my advice to anyone new is 1) You CAN do this 2) PACE is everything - give yourself permission to go slow - increased speed can come later if you want and 3) warming up and cooling down diligently is vital ....
woohoo!
