Where did this month go?

Not sure how I managed to go the most of December without posting! I only just realised that the last post of mine was the 1st of December!

It has been a busy and rollercoaster of a month here, especially with us being in South London. Firstly, my daughter was upset that her school was closing a day early meaning she wasn't able to see her friends on her Birthday (weirdo ), to us then making plans to go somewhere on her Birthday for that then having to be cancelled due to going into Tier 4 a couple of days beforehand.

Fortunately, she has been amazing this entire year so took the plans for her birthday, the week after and Christmas day changing extremely well.

Anyway! Back to running. This month I've completed my longest run which was an 8km followed by my 5km PB (only 18 seconds quicker but still happy with that!)

Breakdown of my runs are as follows which has got me over my 50km target for the month with possibly 1 more to go;

01/12 - 5km

05/12 - 6km

07/12 - 7km

10/12 - 5km

15/12 - 3.5km (30 min run)

20/12 - 6km

22/12 - 8km

24/12 - 5km

29/12 - 5km

Well done for a successful December of running for you! Special congrats for your 8K run and for your new 5K PB. 20 seconds is a lot! 👏👏👏

Your daughter sounds like she has coped particularly well with all the changes and last minute disappointments. She’ll go far!

Let’s hope that 2021 is a better year for all of us. I don’t usually drink, but I may raise a glass to the success of the vaccines and and a new life 😊. I’ll be setting myself some (achievable) running goals 🏃‍♀️. Happy New Year!
