CR1 - 5K

I hadn’t managed 5k before I graduated so I went for it today on my first consolidation run.

Did it in just under 40 mins so I’ll keep to 5k for the foreseeable as it stretched me just enough.

Don’t want to push it and injure myself and not worried about long distance or being super speedy.

I’m still really enjoying running and boring family and friends with it all 😂

Well done that’s a good time 👍, I’ll be doing mine tomorrow. It’ll be strange not having Michael Johnson in my ear telling me I have 5 minutes to go when in fact I’d rather him say 60 seconds 😂

I used him for the plan too. Such a nice calming voice. I didn’t bother with him today and never missed him. I put Saturday Night Fever soundtrack on and that got me through it 😂

That 40 minute time Leeloo7 it's a great time, exercise should be enjoyable, it sounds like you're getting the balance spot on👍

Well done. I did the same thing back in May 2019 when I graduated in pretty much the same time (although I pushed my final run rather than wait until my first post-plan one).

Congratulations, but I would recommend you read the advice in the guide to post c25k running about the 10% rule..............if you jump from three times thirty minute runs to three times forty minute runs you will have breached the rule by quite a considerable margin.
