Ok so sounds a bit pathetic but as the evenings are getting dark earlier and the mornings are dark, when am I supposed to run ๐ am slightly scared to run in the dark as you donโt know who is lurking. Are there any tips to keep safe? I sound like such a wuss ๐

Running in the dark
Iโve been trying to think about this too. At the moment Iโm lucky as Iโm at home so can just go when it gets lighter in the morning.
I think sticking to main areas is a safe idea, so running alongside main roads rather than isolated areas. Or if a friend or partner can come with?
My wife might come and sit nearby with the dog whilst I run through the park.
Wear brighter gear too, my trainers have a reflective bit on them and Iโm intending to wear a brighter running top eventually (rather than trying to blend in and not be noticed like I do currently!)
Lidl has this head torch in as one of its "Specials" at the moment:

The variant (black or white) with the thick band has a rear red light; the "ultralight" string one doesn't.
(I've only just found the whistle. It's is built into one of the buckles.)
I've been wondering exactly the same thing! And you're def not a wuss! ๐
