Morning all!

So I'm on my week 2 off the 'altered c25k' where I'm very fast walking on the running bit and brisk walking on the walking bit.. my legs seem much better doing it this way, so by the time I've finished the 9 weeks doing it this week... 1) I'll have conditioned my legs ready to do the real c25k, and 2) i'll have lost more weight making me lighter in the legs to...

Plus I'm not doing this on the canal as its too flat.. I'm doing it at a park that's up and downy so working my legs harder too!

Hope you're all well!

If and when you feel ready for it you could throw in up to a minute of very slow jogging at the end of each day's session.

The actions of running are different to walking, so it might be helpful to get your muscles used to that sort of motion.

Nothing silly: just a token effort.

Thanks Nowster...

I shall maybe do a shorter run, as John_W says... but thank you for your input!

It's really up to you and what you feel capable of. No pressure at all.

I think this is a really sensible way forward for you and good to see you sounding so positive.

I'd modify nowster 's suggestion: maybe add in literally 10-15 seconds of jogging anytime you feel up to it. Only a suggestion though.

Carry on !

I think that's more doable... thank you!

Sounds like a great plan and will get you to where you need to be to do the runs! You are determined and focussed too which is admirable!
